I built a media server with these specs with Plex and a 20TB HDD
it's a pretty solid setup for this price and even some light e sports games will run on it.

I went ahead and grabbed one it came to $301 with Tax

Just for fun I built another one with pc part picker .. it comes to $381 (Over $500 if you add windows and the Wifi MB)

https://newegg.io/a2542831

I got the lowest item in each category and was still $100 higher than this deal Big Grin

Browsers display things a little different sometimes, but I am seeing 4 photos of the front, and 0 of the back?

Here's a page with the same box with slightly different spec, but almost certainly has an identical rear setup. Rear photo is posted.

This one isn't gamer build friendly, but makes for a solid office or home multitasking machine with respectable processor power, and is expandable to 32GB RAM. It's nice to see these 5600G platforms finally popping up under $300. Processor benchmarks a little better than an i5-12400, with better onboard graphics as well.

Right now this seems to be the sweet spot of performance versus price with full size desktops.

I have a set of 16gb ddr4 3200 and a 1660 super to add
also adding a 1tb m.2 and maybe a 10 to 12 TB used Server drive would make for a good
emulation and 1080p build

Even better. Just be aware of the anemic 180W power supply this thing has. After a 65W processor and power for motherboard/RAM/SSD/HDD/fans your power budget might get a little tight.

I trust HP that their power supply will run it reliably as factory configured, but I'd be apprehensive about adding discrete graphics. Just thinking out loud here. I sure hate that mass produced PCs no longer use standardized components; it's a nightmare for those of us who like to customize.

Woot, got lucky again found a HP TP01 TE01 310W 80 Plus Gold PSU OEM Power Supply for $45 shipped. I should be good to go.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER draws power from 1x 8-pin power connector, with power draw rated at 125 W maximum.
Ryzen 5 5600G 65W processor
That leaves 120W for everything else

Sweet. That's a lot more breathing room for upgrades. That 180W might be in demand and bring a few coins on eBay.

Yeah the 180W are selling for $30 to $60, but I'll just hang onto it in case I decide to revert the system to stock to sell it. I'm glad I found your post, now I can clear a few things off my shelf that have been collecting dust.

I kinda hate to muddy the waters further, but your earlier comment said that the 1660S uses an 8-pin graphics card power connector. I'm reasonably sure that the 180W supply doesn't include one, but does the 310W? Kind of a deal breaker if it doesn't.
