IDK, but we bought one with LIDAR and it still pushed a pile of dog mess around a room.
I now know the minimum detection height for LIDAR is VERY important.

Have a couple of shark units in service, and works well enough. Price is not bad and they do occasionally issue firmware updates Ota

I'm really liking the Ecovacs N8+ refurb that I got for $180 refurbished on ebay. I think it uses laser detection.
