Perplexity Pro says:

The Shark EZ Wi-Fi Robot Vacuum with XL Self-Empty Base (Dark Gray, RV910AE) is a decent mid-range robot vacuum with some convenient features:

Pros:
It has a self-emptying base that can hold up to 45 days worth of debris, reducing the need for frequent manual emptying1.
It performs well on bare floors, easily picking up pet hair and small debris2.
The vacuum does a good job cleaning high-pile carpets2.
It has Wi-Fi connectivity and can be controlled via the SharkClean app or voice assistants like Alexa1.

Cons:
It struggles somewhat with picking up bulky debris on bare floors2.
The vacuum requires high maintenance, with many parts needing regular cleaning. Recurring costs are also high due to parts needing periodic replacement2.
It lacks more advanced navigation features like LIDAR mapping found in higher-end Shark robot vacuums3.
The RV910AE is an older model that lacks an extra floor sensor found in newer AV models for improved navigation3.

Overall, the Shark EZ RV910AE robot vacuum offers decent cleaning performance and the convenience of a self-emptying base at a mid-range price point. However, it has high maintenance needs and lacks some of the more advanced features found in pricier Shark robot vacuums. It's a solid option if you prioritize the self-emptying feature and don't mind the maintenance requirements.

IDK, but we bought one with LIDAR and it still pushed a pile of dog mess around a room.
I now know the minimum detection height for LIDAR is VERY important.

Fortunately neither me nor my dog use the floor. I'll have to look more into this tech, I'd love to vacuum/sweep near none

This is a you problem for not teaching your dog and/or not letting him/her out regularly...not a vacuum problem.

I'll make sure the puppy knows this to further build up her confidence.
But thank you for sharing your opinion without being asked.

Dog poo was obviously just an example of how lidar still leave you wanting. Careful getting off your horse, seems a bit high

In for 1

Have a couple of shark units in service, and works well enough. Price is not bad and they do occasionally issue firmware updates Ota

Do these units go over bumps well? My first level has tile thresholds between kitchen and laundry room bathroom area, then another slight bump from tiles to area rug in living room.

I'm really liking the Ecovacs N8+ refurb that I got for $180 refurbished on ebay. I think it uses laser detection.
