Select Costco Locations: 50' Anderson Industries 12/3 All-Weather Extension Cord (Item # 1784686)

https://www.costco.com/warehouse-locations

Update (4/14): Dropped to $12.88 (Park Meadows, CO). YMMV.
The .88 price tag indicates it is clearance markdown from the store manager and they really want this off the shelf. Not sure if we can hit the goal of getting it at $9.97.

It was mentioned by CanesFan in my previous post (at $29.97 and $19.97) that the price dropped to $15 recently in select local Costco stores.

Edit (3/21): Just dropped to $19.97. See my previous post and discussion about this cord.
The .97 price tag indicates it is clearance markdown from the store manager.

Best flexible extension cord (basically the US Wire brand, made in the USA), SJEOOW. Check photos for details. Has one lighted plug-in end.

If you just want a cheap (lower quality, less flexible) extension cord, this is NOT for you. There are plenty of cheap SJTW cords out there. Select Costco stores carry a two-pack Prime Wire 30 ft SJTW extension cords for $24.99 at my store.

SJEOOW indicates:
SJ - Service Junior rated at 300 VAC
E - Thermoplastic Elastomer
OO - Oil-resistant insulation and outer jacket
W - Weather-resistant for outdoor use

lol. Does it mean old? Or does it mean you have enough personal property that you actually need one?
Young homebuyers being pushed out of the market.

They simply don't have the cash to buy unless it's from mommy, daddy or grandparents.

So ya, both lol.

I wouldn't call those numbers 'poor performing' at this price. Female end pull out force matters little and can be mitigated easily. If you're putting stress on an extension cord anywhere near the tensile strength limit, stop doing what you're doing. End failure load is the only real downside and that all depends on the actual numbers behind these rankings. Are we talking a standard deviation or two from the top ranking cords or are we talking small percentage differences that won't show up much during real use?
This. The actual electrical connection is not designed for significant pull force. There are a ton of ways to mitigate that (even ones that don't require any extra cost like tying ends together). It's a 12 awg cable I don't think many will push its limits electrically.

Same here. This one is a YMMV for sure. Will keep an eye on it though. It was worth it for one at $19.99 and will pick up another at this price!

Don't bother if you live in Northern California, these are not being carried in any of the stores in NorCal. I called and checked.

Not too surprising.. these are mainly sold as a winter product (hence why they're being cleared out), and - while cooler than SoCal - NorCal is still relatively mild

Soon to be about 42. Smilie I have two to return. There were definitely fewer than 40 when I posted the deal. Wonder if everyone was returning previously bought ones there to get the deal.

Maybe someone needs one of these to hook up the electric to someone else's basement. It would probably reach ok. lol

Why return them? Go right to the customer service counter and they will adjust the price and refund you the difference. If you don't have them with you, but new ones and then go immediately to the return counter and return the new ones on your old receipt. That's what I ended up doing
