If you need to "divide" items in a vac bag, you aren't using vac bags efficiently. Just get an appropriately sized bag.
These are not paper/cloth dust bags for vacuums, but plastic storage bags for clothes and such which you can compress to a small size for travel or storage. You do that by pulling out the air with a vacuum cleaner hose (which you need to own, obviously).
Really handy if they stay shrunk, and good deal for only $1.67 for the two-pack at the moment. To divide them sounds a bit silly, but w/e.
I stuff my thick winter sweaters/pullovers into them and suck them to a very small size and store them like that in a box in the garage until the cold comes back. Not so sure about travel as when you travel back, you'll need before-mentioned vacuum to hose out the air, or you'll have an issue with the expanded volume.
Humm, you and previous poster seems to have very different views on this. Gonna give it a shot but curious your personal experience with these?
