and i thought i was getting a deal at $120 for 6 lines
2013 - Free phones with Verizon - no problem - excellent Samsung phones and only activation fees.
2018 - Free phones with MetroPCS (parent company with T-Mobile) - downgrade to iPhones but only paid activation fees.
2020 - Free phones with Cricket - great phones with only activation.
T-Mobile - has been awful experience. As quoted by another T-Mobile store manager "We were mislead", yes we were and T-Mobile customer service or T-Mobile store did nothing to resolve.
T-Mobile 'FREE" phones charged our CC - $881.10 with the promise of credits over 24 months. No credits and no refunds.
T-Moble BOGO watches charged our CC - $748.98 with the promise of credits over 24 months. No credits.
In addition charge our statement each month for phones and watches. Our quoted Military bill quoted $135 a month (no fees & no taxes). The statement each month $179.
Please, Please Do Not Go With T-Mobile. Save yourself a headache and financial disaster.

So no Tmobile does not charge taxes/fees on "all plans but Magenta and Magenta Max".

All in all just make sure to check your bill closely every month.
Last we tried, they also did estimated quotes with how your local bill will turn out with all the fees, taxes that some plans have.
Given the attention a posting here gets for a ~$500 Pixel 8, this seems pretty fantastic. Four people pay $600 each and all get a Pixel 8 and 24 months of service.
Is there a gotcha in the non-5G coverage? The cumulative data?
Presumably you're trading in at least $1000 worth of phones to qualify.
Probably paying at least $500 additional in cell service fees.
So maybe more like $4,000+ in cost.
That said, NEVADA has one of the lowest cell phone taxes in the country. When I was on the old legacy plan with added taxes, I set my billing address to an address of a Vegas Hotel to reduce my tax burden. Since billing was all e-bill, I had no issues except for 1 time when T-mobile sent my wife's replacement phone to the hotel for some reason even though I set the shipping address in the order to my home correctly. I had to call the hotel and asked them to just return the package to the sender. (I just pretended that I stayed there a month back or something like that and package was sent there by mistake)

End of last year we got a Magenta 55+ plan(mom and me) for which we pay $70 a month inclusive of all taxes and two free iPhone 13's(bill credits over 24 months. No tradein). With that over two years we will pay $70 x 24 = $1680 for two lines of unlimited prioritized service (with free Netflix) and two iPhone 13's.
While we did the no trade-in iPhone 13's, at that time they were also giving a more recent iPhone by trading in a an iPhone SE3 or higher.
Around that time someone mentioned if you get the same deal it Costco you get an additional rebate as well in terms of a Costco GC. Not sure if this is true.
