It's selling for a lower price directly at Govee with code TAKE5. $14.99 for two, $7.50 each.
I've been happy with the previous model and it's always worked well. I'll bite at this price.

No, it does not. I have both gateways. They don't cross link sensors.

I already received this item in the mail and was able to pair it just fine with the water sensor Smart gateway. So I'm not sure what gateways you have, but the one I have that came with my water sensors works just fine with this temperature and hygrometer. 🤷

So now you can access your hygrometers when you're out of the house, even though they don't support WiFi?

From what I can tell the smart gateway that came with my water sensors also works with the temperature / hydrometer from this deal. I don't have any experience with any other models, but it seems that the smart gateway has Bluetooth connectivity to this sensor and then the gateway connects to my Wi-Fi like a bridge. I turned off the Bluetooth on my device and then access the govee app over Wi-Fi only and was able to see the temperature update. So unless I'm mistaking the functionality, it seems to be working.

Which water sensor gateway do you have? V1 or V2?

Does the Govee app integrate all their different products (leak, temperate, etc) into the one app?

From this thread it would seem I could connect these to the V2 wifi hub for remote access?

Trying to decide if this is the eco system I want to commit to.

Thanks.

Does anyone know if the gateway for the water leak sensors works for this temperature sensor?
"Thank you for contacting Govee Customer Support.

We are committed to assisting you.

The gateway H5040 is not supported to connect to this product as it is the gateway to connect to the water leakage sensor. The H5104 is a bluetooth thermo-hygrometer.

The model number of this product you provided is H5104.It supports connection to the gateway H5151 ."

Why would they make multiple products with gateways that are incompatible with each other? That's really stupid. All I want is a hygrometer that's compatible with Google Home, and none of them seem to do that properly.

I bought a two pack of these last year and they are both still holding up great.

This works with Home Assistant and is perfect to map all room flucations in one chart and even better for automations that can trigger devices/plugs to toggle on or off - or simply notify your phone when the humidity or temperature hits certain thresholds you set.

It's also a much cheaper alternative to the Nest Sensors if you have thermostat automations set up for specfiic rooms - as long as the device isn't too far from the hub.
I'm guessing you're just connecting these via Bluetooth to a Bluetooth dongle on your HA box? Or is there some other trick?

See I don't understand this, because mine seems to be working with the water sensor gateway. Neither my phone, nor my tablet, are connected to the temperature/ hygrometer via Bluetooth, and yet the app is still updating with the same readings as the screen on the sensor. I'm wondering if a firmware update made it all work together properly and the customer service rep was just never told?

Which water sensor gateway do you have? I have H5040 and according to the above post it's not compatible.

I was able to bind both the older thermometer (5075) and newer one (5104) to the gateway 2. I have the two thermometers right next to each other, yep they are off by a little over 2°. Which is accurate? At the moment, the older one says 73.4 and the newer one says 75.6. That doesn't give me a warm and fuzzy. Humidity is also off by about 5%.

Maybe a different brand 3rd one as a tiebreaker?
