If anyone is trying to decide between the regular and executive membership, just know/remember you need to spend $3000 in store or online annually (with a few exclusions) for the executive membership to pay for itself/recoup the extra cost. Every dollar after that is profit.

And I believe you can get a refund if you decide halfway through that you definitely won't make it, just in case.

Their scan and go app is phenomenal though. Hate standing in line at Costco like a sucker. Their TP and paper towels are still cheaper than HEB, and better quality too. Bottled water is cheaper as well, if you need bottled water.

FYI for anyone who bit on the $20 card offer last week - no price match on membership promotional offers. I tried on chat with a representative earlier.

My wife's membership ends in May. I have some questions:

1. does membership start immediately after purchase at Costco site? Note that the stacksocial deal for same gift card offer can be redeemed within 60 days.
2. I have never been listed as household member under wife's membership. Am I eligible as a "new member" under this offer?

from my personal experience, membership on costco.com starts immediately right after you paid.
