My M1 (with 16GB Ram and 1TB SSD) hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. So I'm going to give it another year and see what the M4 brings. But this is a great price if you're in the market for one now.

Big thanks to Microcenter in Indianapolis for keeping ONE of these Macbooks at this price for price matching! Ha!
Step by step what I did, hope someone else can get the same!
1. Microcenter link to send to BB rep: https://www.microcenter
EVEN THOUGH THIS LINK SAID OUT OF STOCK THEY STILL ACCEPTED IT FOR A PRICE MATCH
2. I went through 3 reps. The first rep said it couldn't do the because of "one per household". The second said she couldn't do it unless I picked up in Indianapolis. The third said the same with regard to Indianapolis, but they seemed like they were ready to go along with it (even in the color I wanted) so I just said I had a friend coming in to get in to get it and gave them a fake name. I did this because on BestBuy's website it says you can switch the order from pickup to shipped up to 30 minutes after it's placed. Except that wasn't true: the only option was to cancel the order :/
3. The kicker: I knew getting the price match on the OOS item was the hard part, so I just started another chat and explained that my friend can't pick it up. They had me cancel the order and created the SAME PRICE MATCH for my local store, pickup tomorrow, no problem with this rep whatsoever.

1. Opened 2 Browser windows
- 1 on Bestbuy on the one I want
- 1 on Microcenter on the one I want
Make sure you have the same exact product including the COLOR
2. Open Chat on Bestbuy Window
3. Ask them to price match
4. I pasted Bestbuy web page
5. I pasted mirocenter web page
6. I remind them it's the SAME exact product that I want to price match
7. they will ask for time to check
8. come back with offer
9 they did mess up for some reason twice so I pasted the URL twice and they finally saw the 1079 price and approved PM. They said 1349 at first.
10. They will ask for your contact then email you an INVOICE that already has delivery or pick up info already confirmed with you thru Chat
11. Check your email, click thru link and pay for the it.... once you're paid it's all done
12. Go back to chat, they will paste the order information as well in like 1 minute later.
13. Go pick it up or wait for delivery. whatever the option you selected.
My home state is WAY far way (700 miles away) from Indianapolis and they never questioned anything. Just tell them you want to order and hope the rep does not check that it's local only to Indi if that was the case.

Just some tips:
These PMs are always YMMV (really, Your Chat Agent May Vary)
If a rep gives you any resistance, don't press it. They are correct in denying you per their policy (assuming that you aren't in Indiana). Just close the chat and try again. You aren't going to win with, "well, someone else on SD got a PM, why not me?" If a rep isn't playing ball, you are just wasting your time continuing your chat. Just exit chat as soon as they give you any flack and try with the next rep. Sometimes you will get lucky and get a PM on your first try, other times you are going to have to go through 10 reps until you finally find the one who doesn't know (or care about) BB price match policy. Ill gladly go through reps for an hour straight if it saves me $400. Good luck.
