The M3 is only an incremental upgrade from the M2. And, realistically, the M1 is still more than enough for most people. So if you already have one of the previous models, there's not much reason to upgrade. They're becoming like iPhones and Apple Watches in that regard - there's not a strong case to upgrade each year, but if you wait a few years or more between upgrades, the incremental improvements add up and it will feel like a big step forward.

My M1 (with 16GB Ram and 1TB SSD) hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. So I'm going to give it another year and see what the M4 brings. But this is a great price if you're in the market for one now.

OMG I finally did it!

Best Slickdeals deal I ever got. $1799 for the 16" Macbook Pro (2499 on Apple's website!) I even got the Space Black, unreal. Proof: https://ibb.co/6Wd4HFT

Big thanks to Microcenter in Indianapolis for keeping ONE of these Macbooks at this price for price matching! Ha!

Step by step what I did, hope someone else can get the same!
1. Microcenter link to send to BB rep: https://www.microcenter.com/produ...ack?sp=429
EVEN THOUGH THIS LINK SAID OUT OF STOCK THEY STILL ACCEPTED IT FOR A PRICE MATCH
2. I went through 3 reps. The first rep said it couldn't do the because of "one per household". The second said she couldn't do it unless I picked up in Indianapolis. The third said the same with regard to Indianapolis, but they seemed like they were ready to go along with it (even in the color I wanted) so I just said I had a friend coming in to get in to get it and gave them a fake name. I did this because on BestBuy's website it says you can switch the order from pickup to shipped up to 30 minutes after it's placed. Except that wasn't true: the only option was to cancel the order :/
3. The kicker: I knew getting the price match on the OOS item was the hard part, so I just started another chat and explained that my friend can't pick it up. They had me cancel the order and created the SAME PRICE MATCH for my local store, pickup tomorrow, no problem with this rep whatsoever.

Hopefully someone else can replicate this!

I saw this deal early but was busy and couldn't get onto chat then. Tried 4 times in the past 2 hours (both chat and phone) and got denied every time. Oh well. Another deal will come along.

Tried to pm BB, for m2, 16/1tb, midnight. Looked like they will accept it until they noticed that model numbers don't match. For some reason BB model # is MQTM3LL/A and microcenter - Z18T000PQ.

Can second this approach. My first time (that failed) was when I was logged in, and the rep asked for my ZIP code.
The second time I was not logged in when I started the chat. The agent ultimately asked for my name/phone number, and they pulled up my BB account with that info, at some point along the way.

I got rejected on chat 3 times. each time they asked for more information (zip, email, phone). I'll give them credit, each time they had a different reason for the rejection.

Just got off with BB chat, was able to price matched two MB air 13/ 16gb/512 starlight and is waiting for the pick up email. No questions, no resistant, pretty straight forward. I logged in to my BB Total so interpret that however you want, but can't say no to 2 years of Applecare+ included in the purchase, and trading in my old M1 MBA. Slick!!!! Repp'ed OP!!! Don't forget to REP!

Was still able to pricematch the second agent around at BB. The first agent stated it was ineligible because the Microcenter wasn't opened in my state yet (NC is getting one in May). Second agent pricematched without any hesitation. This is probably going to end up as my favorite deal of the year. Thank you! Rep'd!
