The thermal throttling on surface pro 9s is a nightmare. No way around it.

Does it not go to sleep properly at times? Sometimes I find my surface devices warm in the bag when I expected closing the lid to put it to sleep. But it's actually on and draining battery

I would press the power button for a second to make sure screen is off but maybe my bag is moving around and the machine wakes up at times

Yes, this has been an issue with all Surface Pros going back to at least the SP4 (the first one I bought). Microsoft seems to be incapable of fixing it across many generations of the SP. I sometimes wonder what laptops Surface Pro engineers use as their daily driver...

Bare-bones specs. 8GB RAM is only enough for the most basic of tasks. I know because I own an SP with 8GB of RAM. Never again!

The 256GB SSD verison in only available in colors that will make people laugh at you in business meetings. That's why these colors end up on Woot!

The platinum color version is only available with a 128GB of SSD, which is NOT adequate even for the most basic of tasks. MS only makes these devices so they can advertise a low (?) starting price. They are not usable.
