So here's what I'm wondering - what if I went into a store that has stock still, and told them I bought it at another store, and if they can't price match I will simply return the old one to buy this one for $400 less. It would be easier for them in the long run, they wouldn't end up with an open box TV. Thoughts?

At my store the price is going lower tomorrow. So to be 100% on the date, the employee could click price and promo on their device to see when the 30% price was activated. Many employees are not aware of this feature because there's no training on it. Obviously management would like to sell items for higher prices but the average employee would gladly check this for you.

Nice grab I bought the 55inch and would have on 65inch also but all sold out in my area still hoping for a 77inch at Best Buy they should have deep discounts soon and they have a fair box deal in store without the remote and stand which I may buy when the clearance prices hit the new TVs so hopefully the open box will hit 1300-1400 range.

I was able to price match!!! It was not easy, and it probably shouldn't have worked, but somehow it did. Best of luck to everyone. Just be super polite and treat the employees with respect no matter what the outcome is.
