Seems like a great clearance deal... unfortunately that AMEX offer isn't avail to me. I only have this.

"Get +1 Membership Rewards point per eligible dollar spent, up to 25,000 points."

Edit: Looks like you need the Business Platinum Card.

"Business Platinum Dell Technologies Benefit

Get up to $400 in statement credits (up to $200 semi annually) on U.S. purchases with Dell Technologies on your Business Platinum Card through 12/31/24. Enrollment required."

I don't have the Business Platinum Card and I have the $120 off $599 offer. I think these offers are probably just random.

So the X16 seems to be more compact and lighter than the m16. Is the 4080 at full wattage (150w with +25w boost)?

Oddly doesn't say one way or the other. Seems like no but should be able to with 330w psu.

If you don't mind me asking: What card do you have that's not business Platinum that's getting it?

I have the Blue Cash Everyday.

I've seen enough Amex offers to conclude that it's most likely random who gets what deal.

Funny how they inflated that "retail price" to $3799.99 so you think you are getting a huge discount.
Even the new one with RTX 4090 the "retail price" is $200 cheaper.

This price isn't that much different than an i9 with a 4070 legion though, isn't it? I kind of feel like I would want to go with the legion cuz I hear that Dell overheats? but that extra terabyte of storage does seem nice...

Well, this is a 4080. Not to mention the 12GB VRAM over the ridiculous 8 GB that nVidia still goes with on the 4070.

I'm sorry I'm comparing it to the Lenovo with a 4080 from also a 13 series i9, for $70 more.

but I suppose with the American Express offer, this should be pretty good price difference still.
