Equal to or better than 4080S in Raster. Gets smoked in Ray Tracing.

I think this might be the cheapest you can get 7900XTX. I just bought my 7900xt through Zip came out to be $676 shipped.

7900 XTX has a marginal advantage in raster (i.e. fps), but 4080 Super wins in basically every other category. Features (DLSS, frame gen, ray tracing perfrmance, are all better with NVIDIA right now), power consumption is lower, resale value down the road is higher (seriously, go look at current prices for 3080 on eBay). Plus, if you have any interest in AI/LLM, NVIDIA really is the only option.

So you have to decide whether saving $200 (MSRP of 4080 Super is $1000 and there are a couple models usually available at that price) is worth just the marginal raw fps advantage. That's the way I looked at it when I made the decision a couple of months ago. I ended up going with the 4080 Super.

At this price point it's like a $900 super imo. $850 makes a 7900 xtx compelling. $830 or less… consider it sold out. Price to performance at $800 becomes very top notch.

You're right. I've bought 2 used on eBay for $700. Only lucky because I'm like a shark. The original buyers flaked out and reached out to me to scoop it for my offered price.

This was used, so $800 is very respectful, it could be 2 years before we see this power available around $500-600

2-5% faster than 4080super, then yes I agree. With ray tracing it's no contest.
It'll do ray tracing lol.

Price aside, how's the performance and reliability of this card compare in real world against the other hellhound 7900xtx deal from a month or so ago. I heard msi had been going down hill.

I have Dell XPS 8960 with 6700XT and 750W power supply.

Will 7900XTX fit ? Can it work on 750W?

After so many Amazon and Newegg scams, I really dont want to buy high-end PC parts.

I'd suggest to record the process of opening the mail package of this item, installing and testing this GPU all in one take.

I am sure my AMEX card would go with my words if I present enough hard evidence.

But I am not sure if Zip would do the same.

I bought a XFX 7900XTX Black (OC edition) for $695 ($750 with tax) from Amazon warehouse.
It said the condition was "Good" but it came brand spanking new. It still had plastic on the card and all the screws, stickers, pads, etc were all sealed.
Odd thing was that it came with an Asus ROG Strix velcro LOL (presume the previous buyer left it there from his mobo?)
