Are you still alive? Every conceivable thing that could possibly go wrong to a person went wrong with you with these routers. Sorry to hear that but I do network installations everyday 6 days a week and these are bulletproof hate to say it it's you

How is this compared to the XE75 Pro? Specs seems identical.

Highly recommend this. I switched from a nighthawk mesh system and it's superior in every way. I dedicated the 6ghz band as a wireless backhaul. The app is really user friendly and has some pretty cool features.

Refurb XE75 for $219.00
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BGQLR...item_image

I just bought at $239 a few days ago thinking it was a great deal. Hopefully they don't have me go through the buy and return to get the $20.

EDIT: Whoops not the pro. I think the only difference is the single 2.5Gbps port, but not sure

Would this work well for a 2 story house where it's more of a long L shape or would custom building a ubiquiti set up be better, but also unfortunately more expensive? (like a unifi AP pro)

Whew just gave me credit for the $20. Anyway, I thought the refurb was the way to go. It's Amazon, and comes with 90-day tp-link warranty, so we will see.

Had these returned them. Wifi kept dropping for no reason. No matter what I changed or set nothing fixed it just dropping. Returned and went back to my Deco M5.

Incidentally, running 22 devices, 1 Gig from Xfinity, 4000 sq ft. Working great so far. Reaches the sprinkler system outside through CBS and my car far down the driveway as well as 3x security floodlight cams and doorbell that used to be out of reach.

Bought it at costco. Two of them were defective. Returned it but next one had one unit defective. Called tplink. They sent me a refurb one. Been working ok since then, but too much hassle. Hope others had a better experience.

I don't think Costco has ever carried this model. At least not online...This is the newly released AXE4900. The one at Costco normally is the AXE5300.

How did you dedicate the WiFi 6 as wireless backhaul? Can't find the setting on the app.

Wi-Fi Settings > 6 GHz Network > Use 6 GHz Wi-Fi for > Dedicated Backhaul

This doesn't mean it will use only 6 GHz for the backhaul... it means 6 GHz will not be used for anything except backhaul. This means the backhaul can still use other frequencies.
