Thanks for the feedback. Mine arrives tomorrow. I was hoping to future proof myself for a little while with the i9 and non proprietary parts.

I think this only ends up being a deal for those that really need a 14th gen i9 as that is where a lot of the build price is going.

If you will be gaming as your use case, it is way overkill and could get a comparable system for a decent chunk less.

For example, Costco also has this one that has an upgraded GPU 4070 Super but with a 14th gen i7 and it is $100 less:

Better value because of the 4070 super? I'm not going to game a ton, but would still like for it run most things I throw at it including light video editing. I did debate on whether to go with the cyberpower, but have a coworker that steered me away from it due to some bad previous interactions that they had.

$100 less cos the 4070 super isn't a huge difference to the 4070, there's YT vids that prove that. There's also games that are cpu intensive, PUBG being an example, so an i9 isn't overkill at all...

the i9 is overkill unless you are running top GPUs or are actually using for it for work

The lowest 40xx card to offer 16+ is the 4070 Ti SUPER (regular Ti only has 12GB)
