For what it's worth, I tried every laptop's keyboard in Costco, and this was by far the best. (Yes, much, much, much better than any other Windows or Apple laptop.)

The big negative is the antiquated port selection:
- Only one Thunderbolt and it doesn't support charging (according to Copilot). That's pretty weak in 2023.
- The HDMI port only supports 4K at 30 fps... (That's WTF territory.)

It's a hard pass for me as I want to be able to drive two external screens at 4K 60Hz with a dock and I want to be able to use my PD charger when I travel. Much cheaper laptops can do both of those things.

It's puzzling why Lenovo still insists on an antiquated charging port in 2023 and even on the new 2024 version of this laptop.
Otherwise looks like a great laptop.

Thank you for that kind compliment.
The Asus Zephryus G14 with the 4060 fits that description quite nicely. It has been posted here for $999 a few times. Right now, it's $1199 at best buy. I'd suggest to wait a week or two if you can, I'm sure it's gonna touch $1K again.
The other option you have is the Legion Slim 5 with the 14.5" OLED display and 4060. It's been $1049 as the lowest quite a few times. Again, I'd say to wait for a few weeks and that deal should come around again.

Dr.Wajahat, you are awesome in finding all these laptop deals. Is there any good deal currently on an under 4lb under or equal 14" laptop with dedicated gpu for some gaming (3060, 4060 or similar performance older gpus)?

How's the gaming performance on this? I'm looking for an all rounder that can game a bit too (purchased the woot deal on the hp envy 16 with a 4060) - this only has a 4050 - could it handle AAA games?

This is more a productivity / creation focused laptop (amazing build quality, amazing mini led screen and performance. Above average battery performance). A macbook pro competitor in a way. It can game but wont beat a 4060 laptop and you might need to adjust settings ans resolution.
If you want to game at this budget, follow the doctor advice. I really like lhe lenovo slim 5 oled.

This looks good! Will try to see what reviews say about the noise/cooling system. Missed similar Acer deals due to too many complaints about insufficient cooling and intermittent fan noise.

I have this laptop with the 4060, and while playing flight sim at decent settings, the computer uses more power than the power supply can support 170w, so eventually it starts draining the battery. Besides that it's been an awesome laptop. heavy, perfect size. I'm happy over all but don't play a lot of games. Also the USB c pd port only works with specific chargers, not all of them.

As an FYI, Copilot tells me: "it has only one Thunderbolt port (which doesn't support charging)". Unexpected and underwhelming from a laptop released in 2023.

Can I even drive two external monitors at 4K 60Hz from this thing?

Just wanted to say thanks as well.. I'm still searching for a legion 7 pro with 4080 though seems like all the deals might be finally picked over.

By specification, Thunderbolt always supports charging. Isn't it?
