This unit is model 34WQ60C-B , the one from thh deal a few weeks back and sold from/at LG .directly ~ The more rercent one from the Staples deal was a 34BQ77QBB .
Not bad only negative is it is 60Hz, I think this is the new floor price for 34" 60Hz IPS ultrawides
Combine with the current AMEX offer for 6% back at lg.com

Which is better?

The one sold by Staples with the built in USB-C hub. And it was cheaper than the one shown on this post

What is the impact of 60Hz nowadays. Back when I used CRT monitors, I could not use the 60 Hz models because my eyes could "see" the refreshes and within 20 minutes I'd have a massive headache. But that should not be a problem now with ... LCD? whatever the new tech is... right? The only issue would be maybe some slower response when watching action movies or playing action games or something?

TIA for any info... the last monitor I bought is the one I'm using.. a Dell 27 inch ultrasharp. Nine years ago!!

I got the Staples version of this, and am returning it. The limitations of IPS technology are really glaring for me - dimmness, poor color accuracy, and most importantly, poor viewing angles. I've ordered a VA panel instead, hoping it'll be better

Staples deal is better. USB-C with a hub (USB A up/downstream) and power delivery and 3800R curvature. You can connect with your laptop using one USB C cable from this monitor and it powers and acts as a hub.
Returned that one. 3800R did not cut it for me. 1800R is way better

I'm lost between the specs.
This one seems to be better (100hz vs 60) and has a built in dock. But retails for the same and is 20 more https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg...lsrc=aw.ds

Can some one weigh in on the better offer?

Nvm kinda answered my own question. This only supports usb C (not a dedicated dock) and no vesa.

10% CB on at least two sites. So $225.

Neat deal.

Not in the market but I'm a little in awe of how cheap these are now.

Better or worse will depend on the panel itself. All else equal, just from how they are set up, VA has better contrast than ips, and ips has better viewing angle and maybe slightly better color. In a curved monitor, I'd think that the viewing angle is irrelevant, so it's slightly better color vs better contrast/black levels.

I've used both for work and gaming and 3800R is very good for business work. I actually prefer the 3800R more because the 1800R now is a little too curvy for me =)
Damn - so you're telling me to buy it Big Grin
Appreciate the feedback!

Which would u guys rather have? A 4k 32 inch ips 60hz monitor or this?

Depends on your vid card. Ultrawides are more forgiving vs 4k due to less resolution in the verticle dept
