All VA's have issues with dark fast moving areas on the screen. You can try to minimize it but it will never go away. Most gamers will not use a VA panel.

TLDR
I'm helping my roommate look for a monitor. He suffers from a pretty severe case of ADHD and a fierce eye prescription (one eye wanders), so he's prone to headaches. I gather it's a result of the refresh rate being too low, but I could be wrong since I don't know too much about this stuff anymore.
His new employer provided two Dell monitors with his laptop but he needs the text to be largeā¦ to the point where it's hard (almost impossible) for him to be productive with just the two monitors.
He had a widescreen LG but it had a freak accident and he's since realized it may have been too wide - he had to turn his head too far both ways.
He's interested in a curved monitor as a replacement.
Neither one of us is up on the technology right now. His last monitor was an open box from Best Buy for around $3-400, and I think he's lucky it worked out for him. But now he's looking for something in the $2-250 range since he doesn't think he can wait till payday (2 weeks) to shop around for something better.
I've read the comments here and it looks like you guys would have some useful insight. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
