I own this drone. Flew it yesterday actually. Really no complaints.

Heads up, you can't upgrade to the Pro remote with a screen, if you wanted.
It's an OK deal, with only ONE battery included. If it were the Fly More Combo, with 3x batteries, and case, then it would be a Slick Deal.
Not a big deal. It is sold for $225 on dji official website.

My last drone was the first gen mavic and filmed a lot with it. Started having others do drone work. But now I want to get back into it. Obviously this is off topic. Is the mavic 3 the DJI standard now?

USB charging is a pretty standardized process and it seems kind of odd that it would actually overcharge the battery due to using a non-DJI charger. Honestly, that sounds like something that a minimum-wage Best Buy tech would throw out as a silly excuse. I would almost suspect an issue with the drone itself not regulating the charge properly or possibly a one-off defective charger if anything.

Edit: never mind the section below … I just realized you said it bricked your drone. I'd still question the non-DJI charger theory though.

One of the discussions of the "battery over-current" warning …

Unfortunately OP stopped responding but I'm also sceptical of the charger. Motorola turbo chargers use the USB QC 2.0 standard. I'd be surprised if that would cause the problem. Either way, if you buy a $300 drone, you should either buy the OEM charger, or a quality 20w USB PD one you can trust. Then don't leave it plugged in overnight until you know it's good. Probably never keep stuff like this plugged overnight as just a standard practice. The standard mini battery is 17wh. With a 20watt charger, this with take about an hour. No reason to leave it overnight.

Yeah, it's probably a good idea to use the OEM or high quality charger in general. I must admit that I usually use a relatively cheap two-port USB charger so that I can charge the drone and controller on the same plug. I haven't had any problems with mine, but of course that doesn't mean that it couldn't cause problems for someone else. I'm just always a bit skeptical of techs who give somewhat iffy reasons for problems that crop up.

Yeah I tend to run Anker stuff. Fairly cheap and I've never had one of their products go bad.

Recently picked these up. Super nice and works with pretty much anything. https://a.co/d/0Jb0akt
