nice point. whether glass is recycled or not, it is chemically inert and harmless in water and ground. it doesn't leech anything into foods or beverage. further, I'm not convinced we've got more oil than sand. since whenever china throws a tantrum the usa stops recycling plastic, I'd say dump what is clearly intended to be disposable plastic in the name of public health / environmental nuisance.

Not to mention it taste so much better in glass, I would not even consider spending money for plastic bottled water. Most bottled water is just spring (tap) water in a plastic bottle. Only 8% of plastic is recycled so you kidding yourself if you think it does not go to land fill.

What does the recycle rate have to do with the actual recyclability? The amount of people who don't recycle or do it properly far outweighs the chance the bottle is actually unreusable. In fact, in that same vein there are many glass bottles that end up in landfills and last much longer.

You can believe one container makes the product taste better but don't spread misinformation about recycling lol.
