I highly recommend the board game of this. It is SUCH a simple game, the addition of a controller can't be that helpful.
I played it on a Blackberry in 2009 or so, and had fun, but it can't compare to the tactile sense of actually building out your roads and settlements on an annoyingly slightly-shifting board of cardboard hexagons.

yeah there's something that feels sacrilegious about using a screen for something that is traditionally very much not a screen. i suppose if it let you play online against friends then i could understand but from what i see it's local ony.
