Even though they appear to be exactly the same aside from paint job, one thing you would never think about is the casters. The higher weight capacity is likely due to the caster quality and build. The platform itself without casters flat on the ground could likely support 2 tons. The casters are the weak point. So each is rated to the casters.

Is it just me but the original prices on Walmart are inflated/high so it makes it look like you're getting a deal? 🤔 👀

I've noticed it on various items since I started using Walmart +, it's deceiving :/

I was about to jump on this but seems this is not heavy duty. I bought Costway one ( https://www.walmart.com/ip/Costwa.../627779732 ) in Dec which has a 330lb capacity but it's assembled weight is 19lb. This one is 440lb and its assembled weight is 13lb. Something is not adding up. This might be a perfect deal for someone who wants to carry bigger but not bulkier stuff.

$40 shipped is still quite a bit better than $59.99 + tax Smilie

It's not a like for like but HFT has a smaller but similar item for $37.99 on clearance right now.

FRANKLIN 19 in. x 29 in. Folding Platform Truck SKU: 58300 [harborfreight.com]

I downgraded my work vehicle from a small Ford Transit van to an Equinox SUV and thought this might fold down and store on the deck area in front of the back seats to allow for my back hatch area to be used for cargo.

Works great around the garage or moving boxes, stuff etc... also good for basement if you move stuff around etc. Easy step and folds down. Easy to store hanging on hanger or rack, and stackable too if you own more than 1. I own 4 of these. When moving we used 2 of them pushed together moving a heavy tv, tools and other stuff.

I actually moved apartments, with one similar to this (also from Walmart, but gray and white color), and a two-wheeled hand truck. It held a surprising amount of stuff (though I never loaded it with hundreds of pounds), and held up surprisingly well.
The only downside to it, was that me being 6' tall, the handle was awfully low, to push or pull it. My height is more in my legs, so I was having to bend over to "handle" it, so to speak. If I bought another one, I'd likely figure out a simple way to add a foot of extension to the handle.

I agree. It's a common trick of retail that seemed to be way worse in the last few years. I recall some article talking about how the sears fair pricing marketing campaign eventually killed the company. It's better for profit to convince people that they got a good deal rather than actually giving them a good deal.

These remind me of the carts they use at Uhauls indoor storage facilities. Probably better than using a dolly for moving cumbersome things
