Great on Kindle

The New York Times bestselling author of The 4-Hour Body shows readers how to live more and work less, now with more than 100 pages of new, cutting-edge content.

Forget the old concept of retirement and the rest of the deferred-life plan–there is no need to wait and every reason not to, especially in unpredictable economic times. Whether your dream is escaping the rat race, experiencing high-end world travel, or earning a monthly five-figure income with zero management, The 4-Hour Workweek is the blueprint.

This step-by-step guide to luxury lifestyle design teaches:
• How Tim went from $40,000 per year and 80 hours per week to $40,000 per month and 4 hours per week
• How to outsource your life to overseas virtual assistants for $5 per hour and do whatever you want
• How blue-chip escape artists travel the world without quitting their jobs
• How to eliminate 50% of your work in 48 hours using the principles of a forgotten Italian economist
• How to trade a long-haul career for short work bursts and frequent "mini-retirements"

The new expanded edition of Tim Ferriss' The 4-Hour Workweek includes:
• More than 50 practical tips and case studies from readers (including families) who have doubled income, overcome common sticking points, and reinvented themselves using the original book as a starting point
• Real-world templates you can copy for eliminating e-mail, negotiating with bosses and clients, or getting a private chef for less than $8 a meal
• How Lifestyle Design principles can be suited to unpredictable economic times
• The latest tools and tricks, as well as high-tech shortcuts, for living like a diplomat or millionaire without being either

I kinda started this book but didn't stick to me as first he was talking about outsourcing things go Asia n stuff.. everyone knows that shit and you don't really need to optimize how to work your emails, etc. Are people buying this book really that lazy to do it? Everyone knows that there are sites like fiverr etc. if they want to outsource.. not sure why they are buying into this crap that says.. stay in an island and outsource your stuff and live care free.. it would be great if things were that easy... May be if you're 20 yr old you can do it for couple of months.. but when you're older and have family where does all this utopian world comes in? don't you have to send your kids to school, pay mortgage, run your business daily or work etc.

I had a coworker who bought into the 4HWW. Wouldn't stop talking about it.

Him trying to implement aforementioned 4HWW really farked things up for everyone around him.

It is delusional, obnoxious asshole tech.

Tim Ferriss is a massive conman and Im surprised people are still buying into his junk. Used to be a big fan but slowly realized he was BS after most of his body related stuff (4 hour body), especially his Colorado experiment, batting and running stuff. Dude loves to point out some cool tips, then make hyperbolic claims nobody can replicate.

It still annoys me to this day seeing this guy spouting "knowledge" like it means anything.

Many reviews just liks this: https://www.exercisebiology.com/index.php/site/articles/the_4-hour_body_by_tim_ferriss_review [exercisebiology.com]

I read this recently and completely agree with you.

99% of self-help books are like "Exercise, sleep well, eat healthy, manage your time and meditate."

It's hard for me to believe everyone doesn't already know this stuff, but then I meet people and realize that they actually don't.

But those people aren't reading this book.

This book should have been titled, "How To Become An Entrepeneur." The actual title seems there just to sell books. This book was a waste of my time as it was impractical and unrealistic. The book itself is had very little with how to actually have just a four hour work week. Save yourself some time as your time is precious working a 40 hour work week.

The first edition of this book came out nearly 20 years ago. The concepts in this book were certainly novel for its time. Can't say they've held up over the years.

Agreed. It's a niche idea and his smartest move was to sell the idea (and not rely on the income of the idea itself).
