Google AI says: "Yes, lenders can consider immigration status when underwriting loans, and visa holders may be considered more risky than citizens. This is because immigration status can correlate with national origin, which is protected under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA). Lenders can consider immigration status to assess their rights or remedies to recover funds, or if otherwise required to comply with other laws. For example, if a visa expires and the borrower must leave the country, the lender would be unable to recover the balance due on a loan."

I chose to do a 1 pay lease and just pay everything at signing. I also had offers for roughly the same total price with $0 down $254 per month, $1k down $207 per month, and $2k down $161 per month. Admittedly those are slightly better than the $6k upfront but they didn't come with the extra $2k in options which I chose to use on lease end protection and tire/wheel protection

260 Mi range for the AWD, with 320 HP versus. 310 Mi range and 425 HP for the Model Y LR. Don't need to.
Now test charging speed, comfort, V2L, HDA2

Just test drone the ioniq 5 2024 awd... was underwhelming overall. Felt cheap. No wireless andriod auto, usb a ports but no usb c. In a straight line its fun to stomp on it, but it drives heavy on corners. Range in my rest drive wasnt great but that is hard to judge. Very nice looking outside but inside it felt like an appliance.

Ended up leasing a subaru solterra limited.. $1000 down $317 a month.. the limited trim has a ton of cool stuff. It has plenty of flaws as well but at least it was comfortable and fun to drive.
Yes, Hyundai has a long way to go accepted. Usb c should be no Brainerd, wireless android auto too. Some other 12v and iccu issues too

But comfort, charging speed, hda2, style, V2L have been top notch.

You seem to have not even listed the suburu cool features.

Insurance is higher on EVs because there are fewer spare parts available, which leads to longer repair times, which end up costing insurance companies because of the longer vehicle rentals for the driver not at fault.
rentals are not free. you have to add that plan to your insurance and you pay a monthly premium for it. there is also a max cap of how many days they'll provide you with a rental.

he literally said the new EV is 2x the cost of his older ICE. the insurance preimum increase is pretty negligible so I would say the cost of the car is what affected his premium.

Finally a helpful comment. The Hyundai electrics lack options and features. Subies have been full of standard tech and i would have never even know they had an EV
how is that a helpful comment. he said Ioniq 4 2024 AWD. That's not a trim. He probably drove a base trim car. Also Subaru Solterra is literally unanimously voted the worst EV and the largest flop.

Most states you're going to be paying 10 grand to borrow the car for two years with the $3500 down payment, $229 a month, $500 or so in sales tax and $400 disposition fee. Little over $400 a month. Given car prices, it's not awful but it's not some raging deal either.

In CA, summer rates on PG&E are over 4x that even off peak.

Just saying, the economics change a lot with expensive electric.
Sure, but you guys also pay north of $5 a gallon of gas, and last I filled up at Costco for $2.80 a gallon. So not quite the same math, but still works. Also in CA, I bet it's MUCH more worth it to get solar then too. I can't justify getting solar even with an EV because we use ~$150-$200 in electrical a month. That could go up if it gets super hot, but last year was a mild summer. I assume that's a different universe in CA, where average energy bills for a 3k sq ft house is probably, like you said, 4x that. If you do get solar, getting additional kw/h on top of a system doesn't cost much, and would probably quickly pay for itself with an EV.

Everyone's math is different, but odds are, the more you drive the more an EV would save you, on top of all of these being FAST. Give me another car that does 0-60 in the low 4 seconds and is as practical, and in this price range..

Im seeing

"For 24 months with $3,499 due at lease signing includes $7,500 EV Lease Bonus"

Need to do some research I guess. $230 down and $230 down payment is a no brainer.

Would I need to put 3500 down and then get a 7500 tax credit? And what does CT tax you on a lease? When you buy it? Also every year?

Feel like a need to be a tax person or lawyer to understand this crap.
tax credit goes straight to the lease.

Get the dealer to take 3500 off the mspr and your at close to nothing out of pocket.
