Not telling anyone how to spend their money. Just that these LEDs are barely enough to grow anything. A real grow bulb will allow you to grow so many more plant, far faster, and healthier. This thing is horrible. Check reviews and comparisons of the light it gives.

For actually growing plants like veggies or herbs, the sprout is really too small to keep them, herbs maybe, not tomatos. The harvest can hardly support full size herbs, and not 6. But the light is enough for them, they do great and do not get leggy.
But again, if you want an easy way to start seeds these work great for that, if you dont wanna go out and buy grow lights and don't have a good south facing window.
I love it to start seedlings to the point where I can put them in pots outside without the elements just trashing them. I've got a bunch of tomatoes that are ready to go in the ground this week, and a few clipping with rooting powder of different fruits I want to clone, just to see how they fare.
To be honest, if I didn't have this as a gift, I would get those little square rockwool seedling blocks and the accompanying tray and lid. It would do just fine outside here. When the panel dies, that's what I'm going to do.
These kits are limited as the roots of seedlings grow too much to actually have vigorously growing plants.
