I have a much older version of this and inwont buy another bc Chamberlain forcing you in to a subscription model if you want any integration.

1) they've actively blocked homebridge to prevent being used with HomeKit
2) they stopped selling the HomeKit adapter/bridge for their existing Smart Openers
3) their retrofit transmitter/sensor also doesn't work with HomeKit

Pretty lame and short-sighted and lost any goodwill with me. I would've considered their smart camera if it worked with HomeKit/homebridge/anything else. But Will def avoid chamberlain family products in the future
$230 on Amazon and Lowe's with 1900 reviews 4.5 ⭐️
MyQ is awful. Completely incompatible with most home automation and previously functional back doors like Homebridge no longer work after an API change. I would stay away from Chamberlain altogether personally and wish I hadn't already owned one.

Dang it. I've been waiting about 4 months for a garage door deal and finally bought this yesterday at home Depot for $179 without the keypad...

4 reviews, all 1 star. The only one with comment said they did not include the rail, and even Chamberlain doesn't sell the rail. Customer had to wait a week for the rail to arrive.
They're likely speaking of the extension rail for an 8' tall door. While shopping recently. I discovered most manufacturers only sell openers that accommodate 7' tall doors and you are forced to pay extra afterwards for an extension rail/chain or belt kit if you have 8' doors. Chamberlain does sell this kit and it's readily available anywhere online. Been there, done that!

Correction… 4 reviews, 3 are 5* and one 1*. Amazon has lot more and it's a pretty well rated unit (4.5* on 1.9k reviews).

Plenty of power unless you have a very old and heavy door or the rail is bent and not smooth rolling otherwise plenty plenty of power

Yes. Unless you have a wood door or extended height (at least 10 feet) this is plenty

Expect to pay $130-$200. Don't pay more than 200. It's not that difficult to do it yourself if you are replacing an existing one.

I very recently replaced my chain drive Chamberlain with a belt drive similar to this one (B4655 on clearance at our local Costco), so I'll offer some insight if someone is looking at this kit.

I have an 8ft door, and the kit came with a 7ft rail. The extension for the kit was readily available at Home Depot for $60 and is required if you've got an 8ft door.

Since I was replacing a relatively new (2017) existing installation, I was easily able to reuse the existing hardware in the ceiling along with the low voltage lines used to connect the door sensors and wall button.

Since I was replacing a chain drive, I was not able to reuse the bracket fastening the rail to header, so a heads up that you may have to get creative with your header bracket. The new opener came with a header bracket which I installed in a similar location to the one I removed.

In my case just about everything else was plug and play. Took a couple hours, taking my time with one set of helping hands.

Battery backup is cool. Ours is 3/4HP and I could see a 1/2HP struggling with improperly set springs or a heavy door.

The sound difference from chain to belt is always amazing. It does make a huge difference.

Personally I'd recommend against this for a 2 car garage door. I have this on a 1 car door and it feels like it's pushing it already.
That means your springs need to be adjusted. My 2 car door can be lifted with one finger. A 1/10 hp would be plenty.
