32GB of RAM is great for business and light workstation users, namely Excel, which can devour RAM. In general, having copious amounts of RAM gives you a lot of computing options. Coupled that with generous amounts of storage means you'll have a pleasant computing experience without worrying about performance. It's a great deal for a non-gamer.

Who cares about the screen resolution when the screen size is so small. Even if you had 4K on this screen, you'd be an idiot to have it set to 4K without scaling, which defeats the purpose of setting it at 4K. I prefer ThinkPads but this is a solid deal.

Battery lasting all the day is probably overstatement. 6-7 hour of mixed usage is what it does and with tiny 51whr battery you can't expect more than that.

How much of a concern should the 12th gen processor be?

Depends on what you're trying to do with it. Day to day web surfing, social media, videos etc, or quantum mechanics simulation?

I'm thinking more from a general processing power perspective, perhaps battery drain as well?

I use the laptop for office work (Microsoft Office, Abobe Standard) and online software when I travel. Also web surfing, Youtube Music, online videos etc. For that, it works great. Battery power generally lasts all day. The specs on this machine are overkill but at such a great price, who cares?

Who is this laptop spec targeted? There is 32gb ram which is good and there is only the intel xe graphics.

So it's basically for people who use it while traveling since it's a small laptop?

Sigh......Not a great screen (low res), no touch, and very poor port offerings. But you get a $5 "adapter".

32gb of ram is great, but..... Typing on a better xps as I write this now...

32 GB ram for Excel. Doesn't seem like progress to me.

I have this laptop with 16GB, its smooth. Non-4k monitor, but you simply plug into a 4K larger monitor and its blazing fast for office applications

My wife has the XPS 13 Plus 32GB with the 4K OLED monitor, colors are great, but the 4K resolution is pointless on a 13in monitor.

Inputs are a non-issue if you have usb-c monitor with ports. Carry a usb-c port adapter if you leave the house.

it seems the 32gb RAM version doesnt ship until 1st week of May. I have some AMEX offers expiring at end of this month. I think the cards don't get charged until the product ships. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

does credit card only charge when product ships from Dell? I have some AMEX offers expiring at end of April, but may miss out if these ship late and charge is delayed in posting.
