I had several of these over the decades, never even used oil. Only on my super expensive one have i used oil and that one does not see any use.

These are junks. I got several of them even the Wahl brand and they won't cut or get dull really quick. I bought this brand years ago and it still cut so well. I bought another one for myself to do my own hair cut.

I have a wahl, but they are all the same. if they don't want to cut, take the blade apart and clean it. You'll be shocked how much buildup is in there keeping the blade from vibrating properly.

Eventually you will have to replace the blade, provided the thing lasts that long.
I have a Wahl from 2000 that still works (had a cord short I had to fix) and it definitely needed another blade in that time. I've cut my hair with it the whole time.... how much is 24 years of haircuts? lol

The wahl's all have that cord short problem for some reason. I had to fix mine as well, and when I posted about it on another forum, a dozen other people said the same thing, lol...I figure I have saved enough to buy a new motorcycle since I started cutting my own hair in 2015.
