ORTHOPEDIC DOG BED: Crafted of firm eggcrate foam, this dog bed evenly distributes your dog's weight and soothes all its joints and pressure points. The elevated cushion provides back and neck support for your doggy's comfort.
COZY COMFORT: The plush pet bed has a soft velvet exterior with a cushioned flannel top that'll have your dog sink into oblivion. The nonslip bottom ensures the bed's stability, granting your pet a secure sensation.
WATERPROOF PROTECTION: A TPU liner protects the foam from accidents and spillage.
EASY CARE: The zippered cover is easily removable for machine washing. This is one washable dog bed that will be restored to pristine condition even after infinite washes. Note: Do not machine wash the foam insert.
DOG-FRIENDLY: A great alternative to the cold, harsh floor especially for puppies or senior pets, which need comfort and support. The rectangular shape makes this a fabulous dog bed for large dogs who like to stretch out.
LONG-LASTING USE: An indestructible dog bed, crafted of supremely tough oxford to withstand the wear and tear of daily use by your furry friend.

It might be better to only use the bed under supervision at first and discipline whenever destructive behavior starts.
Alternatively, there's such a thing as a dog hammock, which is just a metal frame supporting trampoline mesh. It's not quite a dog bed, but I'd imagine it's more comfortable than the floor and definitely harder to destroy.

I would second the hammock/cot suggestion. One of our Shepherd mixes ate our couch and stairs when he was younger but never took a bite out of his cot. They're actually more washable too with some dismantling vs dog beds (we've always had trouble getting the large size ones in the wash).
Costco had some cots in store a few weeks ago, a lot easier to put together and take apart for washing than the Coolaroo cots on Amazon. I can't find them on Costco's website but maybe look out for them in store next time.
On most deals here the sale price is compared against the "next best price" from a competitor, not the "list price".
Anyways I would recommend checking out Home Depot they often have large pet beds for $20. The first one I bought for our German shepherd lasted 6 years.

Yes will do, I'll def look into the cot form vs. sofa, much appreciated!
