Good to have lying around to charge those cheap earbuds or whatnot but I wouldn't wanna use this for my laptop/ phone. If I spent $1k+ on a product, I will spend the money to get the official chargers even if it's slightly more expensive/bulky.

You're asking a more complicated question than you realize. What charging protocol is each device using? What is considered 'fast charging'?

If you're asking if you can plug in two phones and get a decent charging speed, almost certainly.

Can you plug in a laptop in a phone get fast charging on both? No probably one or the other.

You should only be using a charger when you are present and around the house anyway. If you feel like spending a lot more money on a charger then you are definitely not the target audience of this charger. I bought a Monoprice 100w charger for $20 on a deal before. Does that mean I need to worry about it during down my house also? I think not. The one thing I've learned in life is that everyone is willing to part with different things at different prices. A given item selling for $50 from one supplier can be got from another supplier for $10. It all depends. Same product, different sellers. I won't worry about my house burning down and if it does because of a $12 charger then that's where you make sure that your house is insured for the value of what you have.
