If you compare the specs between the S6 and S9 FE then you will be happy with your S6. The key difference is the Super AMOLED in S6 vs TFT LCD display in S9 FE. Also, Qualcomm in S6 vs Exonys in the S9 FE. So the S9 FE is pretty much a downgrade but the downside is no more software/security updates for the S6.
I was able to replicate the deal but ran into some quirks. If I used my corp discount, I could no longer trade in a S6 Lite, only up to the S5, so it was more expensive. Also, by default, it adds in the book cover keyboard at 50% but when I went to checkout, it was out of stock and wouldn't let me place the order. But for a non-corp discount, no keyboard buy, I was able to buy the S9 FE for $99 after trade-in.
The S6 lite does not have an OLED screen...

Definitely worth it if you have the s6 lite, I have a S7 FE and wanted to keep the same screen size, to go up to a S9 FE+ it would be 265. Hopefully better deals come along

Edit: I realized that it by default added the keyboard which I don't need, brings it down to 206 which might be worth pulling the trigger.

Tempting, wife and kid share a Tab S6 Lite and it definitely felt sluggish to me from day one. Might have to get this for the speed bump and hopefully the screen is better too.

Same for me. The S6 Lite was no longer a trade in option when I added the keyboard cover. Was able to get it with my work discount for $94.99 + tax.

Same here

Update: You have to remove the $70 book cover, which is automatically added, to get it to the $99

Might be a good way to get some value out of an old Tab S2 I have lying around.

Anyone know how picky Samsung is for trade-ins? Could I just buy a $100-120 S6lite on Ebay, used condition with some scuffs and scratches, and trade that in for the $250 credit? I see "cracked screen" drops the value down to below $100, but I'm talking scratches.
