I know this is probably a silly question, but could these be used for gym bags or are they "too advanced" to be such? Trying to get into a healthier routine and realizing I have a lot to haul around. Just wanting some wise feedback.

Good job on going to the gym! You can, but it's a little pricy for a gym bag. You can go to Marshalls/Nordstrom Rack and pick something for $25

With my gym bag it has a shoulder strap that I use. This one doesn't, and for that reason alone personally I wouldn't recommend it.

Not advanced enough... you should look for a gym bag that has a separated compartment for shoes and/or dirty clothes, which this does not have.
can this be use as back pack? is this the same or comparable capacity with osprey porter bag? can this be used as carryon? for travel? thank you for any response

Check out the video under the pictures on this osprey bag [osprey.com] if you want more details about it!
$25 is a little pricey, you can go to Walmart and pick up something for $10.
