Curious as to who would pay the higher cost for 2gbps or 5gbps vs 1gbps.
I am a very demanding user and have things running 24/7 up and down on my WAN connection and never had any reason to feel like I need more than 1gbps
The occassional download if the source is fast enough could be faster, but we are talking instead of 5 minutes, its 2 minutes, not something I see being a big deal and not a regular situation.
I have upgraded all my infrastucture at home to handle 10gbps and I am still using 1gb WAN and hoping to see the price come down so that getting 5/10 is no longer so overpriced.
Anyone have any experience with new fiber installs and how long till it's active?
They just install ATT fiber behind my house about a month or more ago and still not available
I switched away from Spectrum 500mbps to ATT fiber 1000mbps and couldn't be happier. Coax lines are problematic at best and while spectrum was stable for years for me, right when my price went up last month my service quality went way down.
I just switched from ATT over to Spectrum and got a great promo.
I was paying $80 for 1gig fiber with ATT after the ACP ended. First year promo with ATT was the $300 gift card and was paying about $50 a month. Spectrum salesman came by and offered 1gig speed promo for $39 a month + I get 1 free line of unlimited mobile service for a year. If you check their website this deal shows for $49 a month.

Along with literally every other American telecom provider. Be thankful it's not another country I guess where they don't even tell you they lost your info or don't even know for that matter. About the only big complaint is if you ever need customer service you'll be lucky if you get a person in an hour.
This leak was from 2021 and they knew about it.
AT&T did not tell us until this year after the hackers released the info publicly
I have a credit monitoring service that picked up my ssn, full name, address, and phone number on the dark web leaked by AT&T.
Was also found by credit karma
70 million people were affected by the data breach but they didn't say how many with SSNs.
My brother's was also leaked so it must be a high number of SSNs leaked
Many big companies have had data breaches. All you need to do is do a search. Chase, Wells Fargo, Tmobile, ATT, Sprint, Verizon.
When you can spam text messages that have some data on you or spam/phising emails like fake Chase email that actually have some of your acct info, you know a company has leaked your data.

There is a discord for a group buy setup if you don't want to pay full price. Mine is expected in August and paid $160
Expired?

There's another site that adds either $50 or $100, not sure?
That's $100+$100+$180+$50+$50 = $480 back and upgrading from 300/20 to 1000/1000?
Seems a no-brainer.
I even asked Spectrum to just drop me back to $49.99 and they refused, even given the above information. What a joke.
