From the reviews people are saying the Deck won't fit into the dock if this is on. Will pass because of this since I dock frequently. Thought to share this info.

I don't think there can be any case that will fit. It's the dock, it is precise. I bought a generic dock that was able to accommodate many cases.

the ABS plastic shell is already an insulator. A 1/8" layer of Silicone will impact the thermals to a negligible degree. The top and rear vents provide all the needed cooling.

Source: Me. I've had a similar skin on my Steam Deck for almost two years and not noticed any trouble.

It's 2.8x the cost ($16)but for anyone who doesn't like silicon and the fuzz that sticks to it, I will link the case I got for my deck, it clicks on and covers the sides and the top, is easy to grip, but not bulky. I went through 4-5 cases before I stick with it.

I'd be a little worried about this affecting passive thermals by acting as an insulator, but I suppose thermals won't matter much if you're prone to dropping your devices.

Still, something to consider if your system seems like it's getting warmer than usual.
