I have the Fiskar Power Lever 28" loppers, they worked great for years until a few days ago when the blades bound up and took a big chip out. I tried seeing if Fiskars would do anything for a warranty repair, never heard anything back.

Decided to give Corona a try, and bought some Dual Link MAXFORGED duble bypass loppers ($60). After cutting about 3 branches, the fixed blade side somehow is tweaked, so the blade side would bottom out on the edge of the fixed side and not close all the way. Decided to try go the replacement route from amazon. Bitch of it is that i had to box it up for the return....i had recycled the box so i had to make a giant box to drop off at ups. What a pain.

After all this, i've learned that these kinda things are just disposable. Buy them cheap and replace them. I can get a blade for the fiskars but it will cost $14 with shipping and i think i paid low 20's for them.

Update: got a shipment notice from Fiskar. No response, just sending me "something". We'll see what comes in.

Probably want to use a saw if going for branches significantly bigger than that. No?

you'll spend 10 minutes retightening the extension tubes for every minute of actual use with these… they do slice through pretty easily tho… 1.5" is about right… likely max…

Yes, their lawyers say that so you can't come back and complain that it doesn't easily cut a 2"+
I have this exact item, for a bit over a year now, have made many hundreds of cuts, still holding up very well, and quite a few were 2"+. If you're buying to cut mostly over 2", I'd buy larger, though. Cutting 2"+ with these takes more than a bit of elbow grease.

an exaggeration, of course, but yeah, the arms do get loose over time. I'd say probably a minute retightening over every 30 minutes spent cutting. At least for the ones I've got. Which doesn't seem like a lot, but it is a nuisence. Other than that though, they're a good solid tool.

Have no issues with Fiskars warranty. You have to fill the form out and it takes a bit for them to get back to you. https://d30000001hmdweag.my.sales...sWarranty/

Send a photo and description of the issue and a copy of your receipt/invoice. Problem solved.

I have a replacement of the extendable lever loppers coming warrantied for the rubber bumper between the two halves missing. Which are replacements they sent me for my last loppers that were the extendable twist handle. This newer lever version is far superior to the twist handle version.

Just bought it. But it is way heavier than I expected. 2-3 lbs at least. It made my arms VERY sore after using it for only 5-8 mins. Maybe for petite woman who doesn't have strong arms this is not a good choice.

Fiskars has replaced my blade for free twice. Do it on their online warranty portal. They want a picture of the blade. You'll get a new one in a couple of weeks for free. And they will do this for the life of the product. That has been my experience.
