- At the Review and Pay step of checkout, click 'Redeem a gift card or bonus card' under Payment Options, enter both the number and the PIN from your bonus card or email, then click 'Redeem card'
- REI Stores
- Give the cashier your bonus card, show a printout of your emailed bonus card, or show it from your phone.

You can use this bonus to buy another GC. I did this multiple times in the past.
This offer expires on May 5th, and it is estimated the Anniversary sale will start on May 17th. Just over 10 days. Likely not a coincidence.
It would be great to double dip. I suppose you could buy it before the sale, hope it goes on sale and then use the 14 day price adjustment policy https://www.rei.com/help/price-adjustment

So if you're in a cash redemption state, which I think California is, then you can turn it in for cash. But you're kind of cheating then, I suppose.
