Wasn't a kid. Was a college educated girl who had a condition and shouldn't have been drinking caffeine and did it. Parents sued saying they should have more warnings. I honestly don't know how she didn't understand there was caffeine in these drinks. Sad for the family though
i used to drink them & didnt know the high amount of caffeine in them

Intriguing. I never go to Panera - not a boycott, just not my regular thing.

If I do this, can I get my sip at the drive thru? How much should I tip for each sip?
Same amount you plan to tip the op for enlightening u on the free sips

At my store the charged lemonades are still behind the counter. It's not worth the hassle.

I usually get like half a cup of lemonade and then cut it with bubbly or something. It's too complicated to explain to a busy line worker during lunch shift.
Just dump out the extra…….?

Subway and Starbucks ask you to tip now too.
Starbucks and subway have had tip jars and tip to card as long as I can remember. The technology may change a little, but this is not new. Subway had barista tipping from the early days.

When you order on the app, you can set a pick up time for the future. So I set my pick up time for at least 2 hours ahead. That way when I get there, I can order another drink. I would just order the charged lemonade, then order something else when you get there. Pour half of the charged lemonade in your other cup and top off with whatever you want. Now you got two and you didn't have to talk to anyone.

I worked at an ice cream store in high school 25 years ago. I had a tip cup. Back then people paid in cash and was easy to throw in a few coins if they didnt want the weight. If I had a large order for a family is get bills sometimes.

It was a mom and pop store and staffed by 1 person each shift. I never expected it but was nice to count a few bucks at the end of the day. I was always nice and said thank you if they put money in.

I think nowadays it's too "in your face" due to digital payment. You have to actively say no. I also never hear a thank you for the times I throw money in tip jar...and for digital, they'd never know.

Anyways...as for this deal. I use an auto expiring credit card so I don't forget to cancel. Panera is too out of the way for me and the few times I went in the afternoon, the coffee container was empty and I had to get decaf or bold...

I told the employees one time and it still didn't get filled up during my entire stay.

I used it as a place to chill and do some light work...but I wouldn't pay for this unless you can incorporate as part of your routine.

I'll probably sign up but I doubt I'd use it.

It seems for a few months now all Panera Bread locations require cups to be handed to you. I welcome the change in policy. SIP club is one thing, at least people have to sign up. I am really sick of seeing people just come in, grab a cup, and help themselves without any transaction.

$15 a month?! It was $8 a month when it first started. Heckkk no. I understand that there's value if you drink a lot o coffee or sparkling drinks, but I'd rather spend $4 for a jar of instant coffee and get 100 cups from it.

$15 only if you pay. Until then enjoy the free limited assortment of coffees and teas for 3 months, and then cancel. Put a reminder on your calendar or whatever app you use to cancel a week before.

Looks like this ends 5/31. Any chance it will get taken down before then? I figure I'll sign up and let the clock start on my next visit

This might be a dumb question, but if I don't do a mobile order and just order in store, how do they know I have the sip club?
I didn't see a digital card or anything to scan.

Cant you just cancel right after you sign up and enjoy the 3 month free ? Not have to worry about remebering to cancel.
I am wondering the same thing. Usually with these type of deals, you can cancel immediately while your free trial remains active until it expires. Hopefully someone can confirm this though.
