That's why you should never buy the USB C pencil if you have a Gen 2 compatible iPad. This goes on sale far too often to buy that USB C pencil

Probably with a higher MSRP than 2nd gen.
So get this if you're wanting a 1st party pen and don't want to spend too much

Agreed. Though haptic feedback seems like a good idea, shaking wont enhance my experience with my iPad.

Not sure how often people use it, but for me, got the 2nd gen pencil for $59 and haven't touched it in a year. Do people use it that often?

I occasionally think about buying an iPad and Pencil to get into sketching. I imagine digital artists get a ton of use out of it. Beyond that, I can't think of a daily use case. Quick & easy markup of documents?

It's pretty worth it. You could always try one out by buying both from amazon, return it after a few weeks if you don't like it/won't use it.

It's an absolute must for a student. On a day to day, I think most people can pass if they don't use Ipad to its full capability.

However for studying, I don't know how I got by without it. Just glad to see the price dropped. I had to pay full price for the pen at time. I'll definitely be going back to get a price match.

If new ones are coming out maybe I can get a price match on those too. Money back and 24 month financing at time of purchase. Yes please!

Looks like Christmas came early for me.

******Just know if you have to 10th gen iPad this pen will not work. I made that mistake the hard way.

I hand write notes on my iPad, so it's nice for that. I also use it for editing photos.
