If you want this shirt in long-sleeve, there are a very few that are also discounted. I didn't click through every single option, but I found Charcoal (L, XL) and Blue (M, XL) were $5.90

Which ones? The cool comfort tees are about 4 to 6 bucks each usually and ironically the multi packs are actually more expensive than buying individually sometimes

This is exactly right. One way to test is to put one layer of the shirt in front of your face and see if you're able to see things. You'll be able to see very clearly through normal workout shirts, which means sun penetrates easily as well.
