It seems like this is brought up in every AE thread. More for me!
To say it again, It's silver and copper added to 1 oz gold to make it more durable (22 karat)
It would have to be close to 1.1oz to have a 1 ounce of pure gold in it.

Metal Weight 1 Troy Ounce
If the coin weighs more than 1 ounce, then thats good. But it doesnt say that anywhere on the page.
Correct. It has 1 Troy ox of gold metal. It does not say coin weight.

Gold price is more appealing at $2,293 (spot as of 12:40 PST) and same 2024 AGE is going for $2,439 on eBay but one can only get maybe 2% CB vs. Costco with 4% CB = $2,284 or a little less than spot. My LCS is paying $20 below spot for 2024 AGE.
Sure Costco is shortchanging us with this inferior gold

It's not like they can just Google it and realize they're wrong though 😭
I will stick with the pamp bar ot the buffalo coin or even the Canadian coin since they are 99.9 fine gold

Clearly you and a few others have no idea what you're talking about and probably should've stopped arguing about 3 comments ago.
Bullion is ALWAYS referred to by weight of the metal in question. In this case, it contains 1 troy oz of gold. American Eagles are made to be a bit stronger and resilient than other coins/bars since 24k gold is rather malleable. Hence only 91% purity. So for the price, you're getting 1 ozt of gold PLUS some other alloys. It still has a metal (aka gold) weight of 1 ozt. Case closed.
