I have both. I got a tramontina set a bit smaller than this from Costco (made in Brazil) and two all clads (one large frying pan and a roasting pan)

Zero difference. I wouldn't shock them with ice cold water from red hot to test the extreme, but heat distribution is identical. no warping...all stay flat on my countertop as well as on the induction.

All clads support is horrendous; that alone has turned me off from the brand. Costco's return policy makes these a winner.

You can fry eggs in stainless steel but there is a specific process. Pan needs to be super hot. Check YouTube for a demo.

Product description says "Item Made In Either China or Brazil" so I guess its a gamble and you don't know what you will get? I am totally cool with cookware from Brazil, but definitely not China
Almost everything you own is made in China. Let's not alienate an entire country for trash products

Alternatively, if you're lazy, the Kirkland nonstick set is phenomenal

Is it full clad construction? It seems like the product photos are angled to not show if it's just an aluminum disc for "tri-ply"

This verses the Calphalon set. I've been waiting for that to go on sale.

We have these too. They are great. Just not great to fry an egg.
I use stainless steel for eggs when I'm making a big batch. There is a specific process in order for it to not stick. It takes a few tries to get it right but when you do it's easy.

Can anyone that's ordered a set recently comment if you got China or Brazil made? From the Costco website it looks like they're still shipping both but would love to hear from recent purchasers!

I ordered this set Feb 24 and got the Brazilian set. I love these pans - well built and great even heating

I have the a very similar Tramontina set which was bought from Sams Club. They hold up well and are good quality. I cook eggs on them all the time. The process is easy. First heat the pan to the point where water just dances on it. Next put oil onto the pan for about 2 minutes. Then put the egg on it. If you are impatient then you get a sticky mess. Just need a bit of patience and practice. I actually find it much easier and cleaner than nonstick.

How does this brand compare to all-clad?
They are pretty similar. I own an all-clad D3 frying pan and Tramontina one as well. Both perform very similarly. Time will tell in regards to long term durability though but so far both are superb.

Fully cladded. I own a set of their frying pans. Both bottom and walls for the pans maintain the same temps. They don't have that obvious seam to indicate an aluminum disk.

What's the process for eggs on a stainless steel pan?

Genuinely interested because every time I cook eggs not using a nonstick pan, I have to use a ton of oil/butter or it'll be a mess.

Start with leidenfrost effect. Check out some YouTube videos if you need but basic info is the pan needs to be preheated hot enough that the droplets of water float on a layer of it's own steam/gas. Once the water is beading up add your oil, make sure there are no dry spots on the bottom and even go up the sides a bit. Then add your eggs and if you had already set the temp to medium heat just lift off the pan while you scramble them or how ever you want to cook them. After about 20 seconds or so you can put it back down on the heat and continue cooking or I like to lower heat down to low-medium or low. Sometimes I just turn it off depending on how thick your batch is.

I also do this for things like chili and beans and other foods that can get stuck.

After you learn how to do this there really is no reason to buy non stick pans anymore. Then you can start getting better pans that should be the last set you'll ever need.

I only use stainless steel, cast iron, light weight cast iron, cast enameled( or is it enameled cast iron), and carbon steel pans. All of which can easily go into the oven.
