I noticed that the last time Garmin updated their watches was in April of 2022 and 2023, do we know if new ones are coming in 2024?

I think Walmart and REI are having the same sale as well. REI says until June 16. Can maybe combine with their Mothers Day buy $100 gift card and get a $20 digital bonus card deal that expires on the 5th. Must be a member though.

Instinct is the only line of watches that I haven't destroyed in less than a year. These things are tough and the version 2 battery lasts for weeks before needing to be charged. I'm tempted to buy one for this price as a spare, but I'm pretty sure the one I've got will last several more years at a minimum.

I had original Instinct Solar (bought it in November 2021) and battery was simply amazing. I charged it every other week with plenty of charge left.
But in the last 2 months battery took a nosedive. Now it is going from 100% to 15% in 3 days.
IMHO, it's still worth it. It survived few OCRs and after 2.5 years looks like new.
Suggestion: buy insurance, they might offer you some money ($75 inmy case) when you need to replace it.

I don't think you can avoid a chest strap if you care about accuracy during intense cardio. The cool part is that the pairing is super easy with a watch.

I got a strap from another SD - could not be happier with the training data.
