Possibly a discontinued model as I only see refurbished for sale. Here's a quick Google search on review:

The Cuisinart PSC-625 is a 6.5 quart programmable slow cooker. On the Cuisinart website, it has an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5, with 96% of 156 reviewers recommending it. Reviews note that it cooks quickly and produces great flavors, and that it automatically switches to "Keep Warm" after cooking is complete. However, one Amazon reviewer says that their PSC-625 turns off randomly, which they say is a common issue.
Pros
Cooks quickly
Great flavors
Automatically switches to "Keep Warm" after cooking
Cons
May turn off randomly

everyone's lifestyle is different, but i always tell people to consider if they want a slow cooker for traveling to parties/gatherings. because i don't know anyone that hasn't used their slow cooker to haul a meal to an event.

obviously you know if this is a feature you want or not, but i know a lot of people who buy their first slow cooker and quickly realize that this is a feature they should have looked for.

Trust me... getting the juices from 2lbs of Swedish meatballs out of a car's carpet is not easy.

Strange. We have used a slow cooker for over 20 years….never once traveled with it. Use it at least once a week.

I transfer food into my older zojirushi rice cooker with a handle. I use Cuckoo for making actual rice

Different lifestyles, like I said. Everyone I know travels with theirs all the time to parties and events. We use ours once a week and travel with it every month or so.

I have had this model for at least 10 years. This is a great price. It is high quality, as is most of Cuisinart appliances. It does cook hot, but it has 4 temps, high, low, simmer, and warm, so I mainly use simmer and low, High will boil.

Ditto. Except I use mine at least twice a week. If I go to a potluck, I don't bring anything hot, or in any container I have to take home. I want to leave early and not be bothered...

I've never once had mine turn off randomly. I've had it since 2010, and use it weekly. I just ordered one as a backup in case mine dies because I like it so much. Free shipping and it can with a 2 year extended warranty for free as well.

Thank you for the feedback and it's always good to hear it from a fellow SDer. My order was delivered this morning and haven't gotten to open it yet. I will try it out over the weekend. I have a slow cooker, but I wanted a programmable one and can't beat it for $30.

You will like it. My company gave us a Christmas catalog to pick out a gift every year, which is where I got mine. Also have the cuisinart toaster oven, and cuisinart waffle maker and some other cuisinart items. They are all top quality. I normally don't spend that much on appliances...$30 is a STEAL!

I'm always scared of refurbs. What if someone cooked like human or horse meat in this?
