My TicWatch Pro 3 GPS doesn't hold a charge anymore so even if this only gets a day, its better than the hour or two i get now. If it's still too bad, it has a 30 day return window.
So there won't be any updates. But this is a good deal even if it is a throwaway after a year or two.
