I mean, this review directly nails the Model 3 as it's competition: https://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/polestar/2
They are both midsize AWD, 400-450hp sedans. The Polestar 2 is a lift back but that's just points to polestar.

Maybe you're thinking of Fisker, who likely is going bankrupt unless someone rescues them very, very soon. Rivian's finances are also shaky but they're selling very well so I'm guessing will be ok too.
