Per the website a Delaware resident is being asked to pay Delaware 'sales tax' (the 4.25% DE doc fee) plus NJ sales tax... Maybe that's not the case in person. But wow. The above is for 27 months with 7500 miles.
Actually disregard the extra tax line. Looks like it's just re-stating the Delaware Doc fee.

I have explained them if you follow the thread. There are many ways to slice it
I can see why Elon makes sure they are banned here.
...wut?
BYD is not "banned" here- in fact they sell EV buses here.
https://en.byd.com/bus/
That's their EV buses sold, today, in the US.
And Elon can't "ban" car makers- he's not a government.
BYD has actively chosen not to enter the US light vehicle market however- per their own executives.
https://electrek.co/2024/02/27/by...ll-evs-us/
That's BYD saying they don't plan to enter the US consumer market because it's too confusing.
BYD makes perfectly good vehicles, FWIW-- but the main reason they sell more EVs in China than Tesla (and ONLY in China, Tesla is ahead in every other market they both sell cars in) is twofold:
The Chinese government subsidizes native manufacturers more- which leads to:
The vast majority of their BEV sales are due to them selling smaller and cheaper cars. Which obviously you sell a larger # of than larger more expensive ones.
BYDs profit per car is far worse as a result than Teslas (and would be worse still if not for the government propping them up in the Chinese market specifically)

A 3 yr old used Tesla in LA probably has 60,000 miles.
