Good deal if you're wanting the Arc. Pretty good soundbar on its own. Complete your system by adding the Sonos sub and some surrounds.

Just get the cheapest Sonos speakers for surround. No need to spend $300+. Get the Symfonisk from IKEA or some used Play: 1's that are S2 compatible.

Also, if you want to add your Home Theater system to the Sonos Ecosystem, you can add the Sonos Port ($350) to that system.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/38636323...media=COPY

What I have in my house:

I have the Arc, Sub, Play: 1's in my loft for my "Atmos" setup.

I have some old Play: 1's in stereo pairs in 3 rooms/garage.

Also an old S2 compatible Sonos Connect (Sonos replaced with the Port in their lineup) connecting my living room Home Theater Atmos setup

Everything controlled by the S2 app for multi room audio. Works great once your account is setup and you add your music sources. I can't AirPlay to the connect or Play: 1's, but the S2 app works just fine. Not sure why people complain about no AirPlay… basically same amount of button pushing to use AirPlay vs just using the app.

Edit:

I have no need for Alexa to control my Sonos System. It's clunky at best and not worth getting Sonos One's over Play: 1's IMHO. My Arc supports Alexa, but again… have rarely used it.
It's crazy how 4 years ago I wrote down the lowest prices on a note for sonos arc, and to this day, it's still the same lowest price for the same items. 🤯 holding out 4 years did not save me any money 😂

If you're in the market for the Sonos Move, Costco has it for $250 with some extra goodies. I personally would get the updated Move 2, though.

Do you guys think a Sonos Bean Gen 3 will be releasing anytime soon? There was a 3 year gap between gen 1 and gen2 and now gen 2 is almost 3 years old.

I went the IKEA route, it was the cheapest.

The era 300s are out now to increase the atmos experience though. They are pricy though.

Are these mix and match compatible with other brands? Or does everything need to be Sonos? I have a Q990C but want to add additional wifi speakers in other rooms.

Also, do you know if these will switch off the surround sound when the wifi speakers are enabled? My ideal use case is to keep all wifi speakers on, but at minimum volume. But I don't want my surround sound to switch to mono if it's outputting to an additional speaker elsewhere.

Edit: my use case is audio from a TV, not from a phone app

I have a beam gen 2 with surrounds and want to upgrade to the arc but have been waiting for a better price. Is it actually worth the upgrade?

I picked up the Beam and two One SLs using that extra 10% off coupon. At least it covered the tax

I have an Arc SL from Costco, probably 3 years old now. It is cabled to my TV through EARC with no sub. It is excellent for TV/Movies, not the greatest for music (if you have any audiophile tendencies that is); sounds like a big, loud radio rather than a refined 2-channel setup, but definitely good enough for background, party etc. It's been reliable and I am very happy with it. I have 2 friends who bought one after hearing my setup.
