Yes you'll have to return the GWP, otherwise they'll charge you the MSRP of the GWP. Like take it off the refund amount.

Some people actually do this intentionally to "buy" the otherwise unavailable GWP.

Out of stock on Lego website. My order is on backorder but they already shipped me the GWP sets. Anyone know what happens if you cancel a backorder when you already received GWP sets? I figure you have to return everything before they give you a refund?

Yes you'll have to return the GWP, otherwise they'll charge you the MSRP of the GWP. Like take it off the refund amount.

Some people actually do this intentionally to "buy" the otherwise unavailable GWP.

For Lego insiders there is a $30 off coupon for this set on Lego.com making it 129.99. I bought it as part of the $160 needed to get the May the 4th threshold for bonus sets. This sale goes through tomorrow, I realize it's $2 more than the price above, but if you are gunning for the 3 bonus sets, it's worth it IMO.
