Consider a 128MB compact flash card in 2003. Those things were much bigger than regular SD flash cards. If we were to calculate how a mini-SD card can hold in terms of volume compared to the compact flash card, the storage density of the 512GB card is over 30,000X greater. 60K greater if this was a 1TB card. This gap was achieved in less than 20 years. Absolutely insane.

edit;I take that back.. logitech actually has replaced speakers, mice, keyboards w/ minimal effort over the past 10 years i've contacted them.
No, this would not be good. You want a unit that is spec'ed for high-endurance and can withstand constant write cycles. They're a bit more, but not much more. I think I have a 256 GB Sammy that was between $20-$30.
I've had standard memory like the unit in this deal become corrupt in a high-write dash cam.
But also use a good high endurance memory card for Dash Cameras.
