FYI, the cap doesn't stay on. It fits loosely and falls off very easily.

I'm very surprised that Fiskars is allowed to market this as an Exacto knife. Yes, they are not spelling it "X-ACTO" like the name brand, but it seems it may still be misleading to consumers.

Edit: "Exacto" is apparently an accepted genericized term for craft knives. Today I learned. Smilie

I have this craft knife. I completely agree, the cap is not the best. However, the knife itself is very nice. Blade is sharp, the grip is good, and it feels very solid. I personally really like that it has a little extra weight to it, compared to thinner/lighter craft knifes.

Cool, I can pair this with my leftover covid masks and gloves and now instead of playing doctor I can play surgeon! Hey kids who needs an appendix removed! Kids, who wants to goto Disneyland??? I'm just gonna need one kidney from each of you!
So the joke is that you've never seen a hobby or craft knife, so this is like a scalpel, which would be hilarious to have. Okay then.

I've got enough exacto knives around so I can pass I guess. I think the world of Fiskars quality though. Their scissors, kitchen shears, and pruning snips I use are super reliable and worth every penny of the few extra dollars they cost. Even generic #11 exacto blades are incredibly sharp though, so you'd have to want this specific handle (looks nice) to buy this, as a Fiskars or X-Acto branded blade isn't a big upgrade.

I ordered a couple of Fiskars fingertip craft knives which use the same blades, but a totally different handle design. Instead of a pencil-shaped knife, these are designed so that you put your finger THROUGH the loop of the handle, which may be a benefit for some folks.
$4.95 right now on Amazon.
